BRITISH FOX RED LABRADORS:
There are only three coat colors of Labradors recognized by the American Kennel Club. Those colors for the Labrador Retriever coat colors are black, yellow and chocolate. The yellow shade can range from fox red to a pale cream or white. Barbour Labradors specializes in breeding British Fox Red labradors.
You can view more about the Fox Red color by visiting Labbies.com.
Our next breeding will take place in mid 2010, as we are raising a moderately dark female "Keepsake's Spicy Punkin Pie" [PUNKIN] from exceptional parentage to breed with "Treddolphins Scout" [SCOUT], a very dark male out of Treddolphins Cinnamon BELLE and Keepsake Shootin' in the Red [SHOOTER]. PUNKIN is out of Keepsake's Plum Perfect by Boradors Moose, whelped 2 July 2008.
The ten pups from our 12 March 2008 litter found exceptional homes within 8 weeks. They are maturing in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Virginia. Some are on their way to field trial training, several will hunt upland and waterfowl and some will become hearth dogs.
